Church History Road Trip

Palmyra NY Temple

Salt Lake City

We had a great trip.  We got the early saints from Palmyra NY to Salt Lake City UT.  We went about 3100 miles in 9 days ~ saw some beautiful country ~ visited some great friends ~ gained appreciation all over again for the gospel in my life and for the sacrifices and faith of our early pioneers.  It made me rededicate my life to obedience and patience and perserverance and faith.  I'm grateful for my heritage!  A full travel log to follow in a day or so!

And what my dad always said is true ~ always be good because it doesn't matter where you go in this world you will meet someone you know or meet someone who knows someone that you know!  Did you get all that?  Almost every stop we made it happened just as my dad said it would.

We met a missionary from Blackfoot ( in Kainsville Iowa), ran into some friends from Blackfoot - he grew up there she became our friend when they got married (in Nauvoo) - met Troy Simpson's mission president who also knows John's cousin from Pocatello (at Carthage) - talked to our kids' Seminary teacher who has since moved from Blackfoot to Oregon (in Independence).  It's a small world :)

Having a great time!
