Grandbaby #6

Our son called just a little while ago to tell us that they are having the baby today! So now I will sit here for the next few hours and pray and pray and probably pace a little while I wait for the word that all is well.  I was thinking back to a little over 4 years ago when Jeff called to tell me that he was a daddy, I was a grandma and they had a perfect little baby boy.  I cried all the way to Idaho Falls that morning.  Wow, so much has happened over those 4 years...
  • 5 grandbabies
  • husband graduating from BYU-Idaho
  • husband going to graduate school
  • husband graduating from grad school
  • husband getting a new job
  • moving to Montana
  • my dad passed away
Such milestones in my life in 4 short years.  Such incredible blessings.  Such hard hard things I have done in 4 years.

I look back at what incredible blessings I have received, the amazing growth through such hard things, the hand of the Lord in my life and I am grateful.

Mostly today I am grateful for family, for relationships, for the privilege to be a grandma and watch these new little spirits come into our family directly from Heavenly Father.  What a blessing it is to me to watch my babies have babies of their own and the way they love them and teach them about the gospel and about how to be good.  And as these little babes teach me about Heavenly Father and love and patience and sacrifice.

Oh how I long to be closer to them in the miles.  But alas, all things are for a purpose and Montana is where my purpose is and so I will embrace it and be grateful for webcams! and for only being 300 miles away instead of 3000.

Today my heart grows bigger with grandbaby #6 ~ and in a week or so even bigger with grandbaby #7 :)

Today it will get better than this!!!!!!
